Rishon and work

Hi Rishon Lezion is happily situated right in the centre of things. It doesn't matter which occupation you own, in Tel-Aviv there is always a better chance to find work. There is no absorption centre in Rishon you've got one in Ranana and Kfar Saba which are a bit far from Rishon. Also, as a journalist you must know that e-mail and the internet will allow you to work for newspapers all around the country – depends on circumstances You can an apartment in Rishon I think the prices are similar to those in Tel Aviv it is quite good place to live in, or you can try an absorption centre else where – here is a link to the absorption centre list

.......

Hi Henry, http://www.rishonlezion.muni.il/ Rishon is one of the fastest growing cities in israel, there are "older parts" of the city and a lot of new parts that are being built rapidly all the time. There's a nice beach, and a LOT of shopping centres and cinemas. Regarding Journalists positions, do you speak hebrew? Even if you don't, i believe that as a native english speaker journalist you could find a job in one of the papers around (like Yediot/Ha'aretz/Maariv) - Ha'Artez has an English version too i think, and there's also The Jerusalem Post which you could work for maybe. www.haaretz.co.il/ www.jpost.co.il/ www.ynetnews.com Rishon Le Zion is also VERY close to Tel Aviv. By car it should take around 10-20 minutes to get to Tel Aviv, depending on what time of day (in the mornings it can take even an hour or two, since there's loads of traffic in that direction). There's also a train station, which stops in each of the 4 stations in tel aviv and then heads up north, or south etc. (www.israrail.org) (takes around 20 minutes for it to get to Tel Aviv) GoodLuck! avi

Thanks, Avi!

Dear Avi, thanks a lor for your response. But my native language is Portuguese, I`m from Brasil. This turns the things a little bit difficult. But I`ll try anyway. All the best and thanks again. Henry
