So What?

What is wrong with asking someone to get something from Duty Free? Nobody is breaking the law! If someone is willing to do you a favor, so what.

It is hard for me to accept the price of any digital camera such as FUJI FinePix 3800 which is sold here at over $450,while below $330 in US. What can I do about it? Just accept it, or should I come to States to buy it? Or pay $85 for its shipment? Any other choice suggested will be appreciated very much!

As far as I know, they no longer tax cameras at the airport. Certain items are very expensive in Israel and that's just one of the realities here. It's the price we pay to live in Israel and we pay a high price, but there are some great rewards!

Thank you all for your help. Your valuable information is very crucial to me even though I have no intention to go to USA in a short time. I hope I can find someone who would like to do me a favor since this camera is a necessity for me in this summer vocation. I have been sharply impressed by the hospitality of all the Israelis I ever met here in Technion since I came here last Oct.. All the best to Israel and to us as a part of it as well.
