I am considering studying abroad in either Melbourne or Perth, and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations or preferences?! I love the beach atmosphere but I also like the big city feeling, and I really just want to get a feel for pure Australian culture!

If you really like the beach lifestyle then Perth is definitely the place, the summmers really just go on and on - the beaches are brillant and the atmosphere of the city is very laid back - Melbourne's strong points is the amount of events that take place in and around the city and it is twice the size of Perth, although its weather and beaches are nowhere near as good as Perth's - Hope this helps
