Hello u all. sorry i cant write in hebrew. i´d like to hear your opinion about the toshiba e740 (comparing to ipaq). what should i buy?? thanx

I just got from US the Toshiba e740, and I can tell you 1 thing. If you buy it in IL, get the IPAQ with Hebrew support. If you buy it abroad, get the e740, it´s much cheaper, better looking, smaller, and has no need for extra accesories,has built in WI-FI etc I got mine from Amazon for 389$ after 100$ mail-in rebate, and I am more than satisfied.

I just purchased my one through online shop - 425$. In one word - exellent device. I don´t need hebrew language support - i need Russian one and I installed Russian language extender without any problem. I have 802.11b access point at home and E740 seamlessly integrated to my home network. This is a reason I didn´t choose Ipaq - it is more expansive and comes without wireless communication and without CF slot.So, if hebrew support is not critical for you, E740 is a smart choice.

1st, thanx for your answers. i understood i could buy hebrew support cd / card here in israel - at handys. i intend to buying it through the net - amazon i suppose. anyhow, is it better than ipaq or just cheaper?

I would call it better, but if not, anyway at least good as IPAQ. About the Hebrew, thay sell it at Handy but they charge 400 NIS, and I could not get a reasonable answer from them why so much more than the Hebrew for IPAQ. If you are not gonna sync with Outlook, try the Hebrew from Ectaco, on sale on Pocketgear.com for 10$. I use that one but on the desktop you´ll see the Hebrew backwords. Hope this helps!
