What are the rules on collectables

My son is maying aliyah and wants his mother and I to also go. I will be 65 when they go, so I will retire first. My question is that I collect coins and have over 10,00 coins in my collection, some of good value. Are there any restrictions on bringing this collection into Israel. taxes, etc? Does anyone know. Since I would have to declare them and their value for customs and insurance.

Every Coin collection is taxed - usually it's v.a.t. 17% - but in these cases if you want an official answer, you need to write to the customs (they do answer) - www.mof.gov.il/customs
