Do you know the Airbus that broke the rudder or the tail assembly due to over rudder deployment on high speed? would Yaw dumper can prevent that by suppressing such actions?

Yaw damper

Has nothing to do with pilot inputs. It prevents natural tendency of the A/C to oscillate around the yaw axis and develope dutch-roll
