התקפה על התאומות
התקפה בלתי צפויה על התאומות על כך שהן מסתוריות מדי?!? לי זה נראה קצת מוגזם ומופרך הכתבה הראשונית באנגלית לפניכם בהמשך יבוא תרגום Eastern Mysticism For Teen Girls By Martha Kleder The world of teen girl publications is heading in a new direction with the release of Mary-Kate and Ashley magazineג€™s back-to-school edition. Along with the required articles on fashion and boy bands, the Olsen twins are going mystic. The August/September issue, which hit store shelves August 14, includes articles on feng shui for bedrooms, bathrooms and lockers. Feng shui is the ancient Chinese philosophy of decorating a room in a way that best directs ג€psychic energy.ג€ Between articles on shower yoga, psychic readings, astrological charts, palmology and school shopping Zen, this latest issue becomes a ג€tweenageג€ primer for Eastern mysticism. ג€This is a sad development and out-of-step with what parents are used to seeing from the Olsen twins,ג€ Dr Janice Crouse with the Beverly LaHaye Institute told C&F Report. ג€Most of the things associated with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, their music, videos and clothes, are wholesome. This only proves that parents can never let their guard down.ג€ The back-to-school issue is heavily devoted to ג€a culture with a focus on self and improvement ג€” India.ג€ More than a tip of the hat to the eastern culture, the magazine is peppered throughout with detailed explanations. For instance, readers are introduced to bindis ֲ– the jewel Hindu women wear on their foreheads that represents the ג€third eye.ג€ The lead article, ג€Back to School Balance,ג€ is a primer on Eastern mysticism, explaining Taoism, Confucianism, Zen, Buddhism, Kabbalah ג€” an ancient form of Jewish mysticm ג€” and Bahaג€™i, to name a few. ג€Your mom always told you to treat other people how youג€™d like to be treated, right? Well, maybe she heard that from Confucius, the Chinese philosopher who was known for saying wise things,ג€ writes Bridget McDermott. Nowhere in the magazine is Christian faith mentioned, not even in the above-mentioned section that screams for a reference to a Sunday school lesson about Jesusג€™ advice on human relations (e.g., Matthew 7:12: ג€Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophetsג€ (NKJV). ג€How ironic that an article about back-to-school balance describes school in India as a place where students equip themselves with knowledge so they can be useful members of society and where books are reverenced,ג€ said Dr. Janice Crouse. ג€Meanwhile, school in America is described as a social time and a place to see friends. How tragic that the article recommends that American kids ג€˜go with the flow,ג€™ while children in India are encouraged to study and excel in learning.ג€ The Olsen twinsג€™ recommended reading list consists of The Artistג€™s Way by Julia Cameron, on becoming a creative genius or spiritual guru; The Te of Piglet by Benjamin Hoff, the sequel to The Tao of Pooh, and The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. ג€To survive school assemblies, students are told to: watch boys, sleep, practice ESP, study, make Origami, yell out, sell stuff, do the wave, etc.,ג€ said Dr. Crouse. ג€The message for American children is simple: Learning is OK, but Snickers-satisfaction is important, too! Especially if it is served up with Eastern mysticism, paganism and psychic phenomena.ג€ The magazine is the latest production of Dualstar Entertainment Group, the company in charge of turning twin actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen into a merchandizing monolith. Mary-Kate and Ashley, who together starred as the youngest family member on the sitcom Full House, have now launched their own clothing line distributed by Wal-Mart ג€” a clothing line that, refreshingly, has tops and bottoms that ג€meet in the middleג€ for the most part. They also plan to launch jewelry and make-up lines in the future. A teaser in the August/September issue of Mary-Kate and Ashley indicates the next issue will center around humor. We can only hope the current one is just a misstep by Dualstar Entertainment and not an indication of a new trend for the teenage twins
