This kind of approach or vision was something that Australia was lacking for many years, so that by itself is a very good start. Whether anything will come out of it, we all have to wait and see. So far, I have to agree that beside lots of talk, release of funds to organisation which have seen their funds cut under previous governments and advising on a student visa with some benefits (which already partially exist) is not as visionary as one would expect. But overall, it is a good start and let’s hope that besides talk and empty promises, things do start to change in the right direction.
