Listen guys, about the Cash...
Just so you know I play baseball in Israel, and I'm pretty sure most of you have heard about the baseball league here in Israel. We have about 8 teams (at the 17+ age league. there are a few different leagues, that are between the ages of 8-10, 11-13 14-16 and 17+), and each team consists of 13-15 players, and we all play on a profesional NCAA level (no joke, its awsome) dimond, and we all have T-Shirts with the teams name on it in small, and an ad for some pizza or something else on every team, and they pay for the jerseys (T-shirts...). Now, everyone of the players at the beginning of the season gives a check or something that ends up being cash, of about 700 NIS. This is to pay for field retal, and for other miscellaneous stuff. Now I know it sounds like alot, but its for an entire season. For Football, I think we could have abiut the same thing. We would find some pizza or some1 that would be willing to pay for the jerseys, and get sponsored, and we would have to get a good amount of players, a minimum of 11 per team (or more so if some1 doesnt or cant show up), and a coach. We would have practices once a week, and a game once a week. A league would form, and we would get a site, for the league, and post results of games, and the schedualls, and so on. We would have an All-Star game, for fun, and maybe some1 would see that it could lead somewhere if they donated some money. We would have to start playing football not only on fridays, but on a weekday. to get this really going. No one will donate money now. thats for sure! We cant seat on our ass and hope for some1 to come along. We have to get something started in Israel. I know all these things might sound un-realistic, but they are very much so. This is the 'PLAN' i prupose, and I think that if we do ALL the things I wrote, and more ideas that people might have to add, we could end up having a league that is EXTREMLY proffesional. I personally would not have a problem giving 700 shekels for field rental, and jerseys, and what not. anyway thats what I think...
