Driving in israel with California DL

Hey,


planning a trip to Israel for 10 days and i was wondering if i can drive with my California drivers license? i am an israeli citizen but my israeli license is expired.

before renting a car i'd like to make sure i can actually do this.

Any help will be appreciated.

Yes you may drive

According to Israeli laws you may use your California DL up to six month

Israeli residents must have Israeli DL to drive.

if you are a US resident you can drive with your US license.

I am both.

I have dual citizenship but haven't been to Israel for years and license expired. visiting for a week there is no way i can renew it within that time frame so makes sense to just use my Cali license. want to make sure it's ok. can anybody else confirm this before i rent a car later to find out i can't drive.

so you're allowed to drive here on a US license.
