Entertainment Focus Strictly Come Dancing reached its semi-final tonight following the departure of Robbie Savage last week.Tonight all the couples had to dance two routines as they fought to avoid tomorrow night's double elimination. With the heat turned up and the pressure on who dazzled and who disappointed on tonight's show? First to dance tonight was Harry Judd with his partner Aliona Vilani. Their first dance was the Charleston which saw Harry pull off some seriously impressive moves. Len was impressed with Harry's effort but due to time constraints the other judges didn't get an opportunity to give their verdict. ....At the end of the first round Harry topped the leaderboard with 39 points for his amazing Charleston. Could he stay at the top of the leaderboard after his second dance? Returning to the floor to kick off the second half of the show Harry Judd and his partner Aliona Vilani danced the Viennese Waltz. Alesha told Harry he was a talented guy and asked why he'd been hiding behind the drums for so long, Bruno said it has 'class, romance and style' and Craig said it was an 'interesting take' on the Viennese Waltz. Len said that Harry had to get through to next week's final. ------ Metro The McFly drummer has become 'obsessed' with tasting success on the BBC1 show and doesn't want to hamper his chances of triumphing in the competition by doing any less than the 72 hours a week he has been rehearsing. He told the Daily Mail: 'I admit I am a bit of an obsessive. I’m a perfectionist. People keep telling me to take a day off, but I refuse. 'I’d be lying if I said I didn’t really want to win it. I’ll be disappointed if I don’t. I can’t concentrate on anything else. I’m in the zone.' The 25-year-old star is particularly keen to win the competition after his McFly bandmate Dougie Poynter – who plays bass guitar in the band – was crowned King of the Jungle when he won ITV1 reality show I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! earlier this month. He explained: 'Before Dougie went into the jungle we joked, 'Imagine if we both won.' Now Dougie has and I’m in the semis.' Harry has even given up drinking in order to fully focus on trying to win Strictly, so he avoids the BBC bar after the live shows and goes straight to bed because he is 'so exhausted'. He added: 'I don’t enjoy drinking any more. I only ever used to drink to get drunk. I could drink if I wanted to, but I don’t. I’d rather get to bed, as I’m so exhausted.' ------ Daily Mail McFly drummer Harry Judd and Aliona Vilani literally kicked off the show with their first dance, scoring a huge 39 points with the Charleston. And their second dance earned them a matching 39 points putting them top of the leader board with a classy Viennese Waltz to 'This Year's Love' to David Gray. And Len Goodman told the boy band hunk he was definitely impressed with his moves. ------ Photographing the stars of Strictly Come Dancing in a 12 Days of Christmas-themed shoot doesn’t sound like hard work. And for me, it was easy. I just pointed a video camera at them for hours on end and had a giggle at their antics. But for most people involved it was a massive challenge Gathering all the celebs, outfits and ridiculous props together turned out to be a feat of incredible logistics. Not to mention having to work with a diva of a French poodle called Blade, who required several cans of hairspray to support his impressive dog-fro. But it eventually all came together. And it was glorious. The stars relished their madcap outfits and the opportunity to be very silly in front of the camera. Harry wouldn’t stop drumming, Brendan wouldn’t give up until he’d got it absolutely right and Edwina seemed strikingly at home playing mother hen. Russell seemed to have been plucked straight out of the Regency era. Of course, he was fabulous as ever, darling! The show promises to be a spectacular showcase of talent, sequins and festive cheer, but some Harry Judd fans could be left disappointed… the McFly favourite has insisted he won’t be taking his shirt off. Harry! It’s Christmas! Speaking in Attitude magazine about his Strictly six pack, Harry said: "People must be thinking, 'Put it away, mate. That guy is obsessed with himself’.” No, we don’t mind Harry. He added: "Pre working out, I thought people who did were vain and the gym was for losers. Now I work out I totally get why people do it. I'm quite obsessive so once I start I want the best body. It's become a mixture of health, enjoyment, the challenge of the gym and a vanity thing." Harry did flaunt his chest when he performed a sizzling salsa, but he was keen to stress the flash of flesh added to the dance. "When you're dancing, it feels wrong to do the buttons up." Can Harry follow in the footsteps of fellow McFly hunk Dougie Poynter, who recently won I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, and take the reality show crown? The 25-year-old shows off the six-pack that has seen judges Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel-Horwood awarding him high scores all season. The drummer modelled skimpy white briefs while gazing seductively at the camera in a stance similar to David Beckham's infamous Armani ad.And like Beckham, the front-on shot has had fans speculating over whether Judd has been given a little help in the way of some photo-shopping enhancement. Either way, the musician has been working hard at improving his physique for some time He revealed that McFly have been consciously making the transition from baby-faced boy band to a more adult look. We were talking about how we were older but had teen appeal and could be an attractive band. So for the next campaign we said we should really get in shape,' he told the magazine. 'I went at it quite hard. We were in Spain and they came into my room and I had my top off. They said "F****** hell, mate, you’re massive".' 'Next thing you know, all three of them were on the floor doing press-ups. That gave them a kick up the a**.' Of stripping off onstage for Strictly, Harry says his inhibitions have flown out the window: 'I’m not embarrassed, I’m over it. With Strictly the nerves just disappear, I should be so embarrassed but I think, sod it.
