Hello all! As I was doing school with my tutor today I recieved a phone call that shocked me. I AM SO EXCITED! On the Hot 100 Chart on Billboard, Too Little Too Late was #66 last week and this week it jumped to... (drumroll please! lol)... #3!!!!!!! The biggest number jump on the Hot 100 chart's history! I couldnt believe what i was hearing! Later on after school, I spent time with my family and had a nice dinner with them to celebrate. I am so blessed right now and its all thanks to you guys. Thank you for supporting me and the new single and calling into the radio stations and going online to buy it. Although I feel that I have so much more to accomplish, its times like this that I think back on how many of my peers, when I was younger, told me that I would never be able to do anything and that I would never make it as a singer. It made me so sad and after a while their words did get to me, and I started to believe all that they said to try to bring me down. Today, there are still plenty of hater and nay-sayers, but if theres one thing thats different its that im trying to take the high road. Thats partly why I named my record that. (The High Road) to me is such an inspirational song, that even as I was in the studio recording it, I felt that I could face the world, confident that as long as I was strong, nobody's comments or jealousy could affect me. Being young, I know its hard to have a thick-skin and not let words hurt you, but often they do. To me, taking the high road is about facing adversity and showing people what you're capable of without stooping to their level. Its hard- but I'm trying! Anyways, enough preaching.. lol. Bottom line is that im really happy right now and looking forward to the future! Im counting down the days until October 17th when my new album is released! But until then, I am traveling, doing school, going back into rehersal, having fittings, meetings, preparing for tv shows (like TRL this Wednesday I'm performing 'Too Little Too Late", etc. Im doing alot of radio shows this winter and I'll be coming to a city near you! I'd love to see each and every one of you there in the audience. Later on, (hopefully early 07') ill probably be doing a tour... so keep a look out. Love ya xoxo -Jo​
