בסקר שאמרתי לכן בשבוע שעבר באתר Flecking מעריצי מקפליי התמודדו מול מעריצים של להקות/אומנים אחרים וזכו בתואר! ה-Galaxy Defenders (מתוך השיר Star Girl) התמודדו נגד מעריצים נוספים כמו מיילי סיירוס, הג'ונאסים, אדם למברט ועוד.
למה עדיין יש באז סביב מקפליי? האתר Echo יצא לבדוק את הנושא: דני אמר: “This is what sets pop bands apart from rock bands, We're allowed to be whatever we want to be. We aren't confined by a set of rules. And if you're allowed to be anything you want to be, then why not just go for it?" טום המשיך: “We can’t wait to rock Chester, When we started out, we were what, 17? We were thrown into this crazy world of touring where we had so much freedom in some ways, and so little in others. We could order room service and mess around all day to an extent, but then we always made the decision that when it came to time to work, we’d work.” את החודשים האחרונים הם בילו בסיבוב הופעות ברחבי אנגליה והעולם. דאגי אמר: “First MySpace and then Twitter were very kind to us,” זה עזר להם לכבוש את הגלובוס, יבשת אחת בכל פעם.. הארי אמר: “When we got to Mexico we couldn’t quite believe it”. ודני הוסיף: “People were camping out for two weeks to buy tickets, We had to have an escort to our cars in Sao Paulo. Five hundred fans were waiting at the airport.”
אחרי שספרתי לכם ששחקן GLEE קווין מקהייל (שמגלם את דמותו של ארטי) הוא מעריץ של מקפליי, יש שחקן נוסף בתוכנית! גם דארן קרייסס (שמגלם את בליין החבר של קורט) חובב את הלהקה. אולי זה הקריטריונים להתקבל לתוכנית, לאהוב את מקפליי! חחח והנה ההוכחה לפי הטוויט שלו
פסטיבל Coca Cola Music Experience 2011 שבו מקפליי משתתפים שודר בשידור חי באתר של הפסטיבל כאן: http://cocacola.es/ הבנים הופיעו ב-22 ליולי.
