Vinney I have 2 problems with what you say
First:
Tuition in a US community college is aroun $3,000 / year.
Tuition in Israel (e.g., Tel Aviv university) is around the same $3,000.
Tuition in a 4-year US univerision is around $8,000 / year which is double but still affordable.
If you really have no money, you can get grants, scholerships and loans from the government.
I have never heard of anyone in the US who wanted to go to college and couldn't do it because of money.
I know people in college with no money who still made it.
I am not sure why people like you and the idiot democrats running in the primaries are trying to find a problem where there is none then make some people pay more taxes so that other people get something for free.
I am for making education affordable but it already is ($3K/year is affordable). And again if you are truly poor you can get grants, scholarships and loans. So what exactly is the problem? You are creating a problem where there is none.
Second:
It is a zero sum game. You say that we can take money from defense or other programs and use it to give free tuition (not affordable but free) to a portion of the population.
If there is really money that we can save in other programs (like defense) why not use it to pay for the deficit,or cut taxes or at the very least use it in something that we can all benefit from like healthcare?
