שם הפרק: Failure to Communicate
תקציר: A famed journalist collapses in his magazine's office. While he acts nonchalant after getting up, it soon becomes clear from his word salad inflected speech that he is suffering from aphasia. While Cuddy wants to kick the patient to another hospital, Foreman wheedles her into giving the case to him. The team consults with House while he's snowed in in Baltimore, with a suddenly interested Stacy.
תקציר נוסף: While attending his editor's retirement party, a journalist collapses and hits his head on a desk. When he regains consciousness, his sentences are garbled and incoherent, so he is rushed to Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. זאת שכתבה את הפרק מספרת על זה בבלוג שלה:
I once got a television job, I am firmly convinced, because I saw a book entitled Lesbian Pulp Fiction on the executive producer's coffee table and spontaneously cried, "How cool!" I was going to use that book, but the rules are that one shouldn't show the title of a real book without showing that book's actual cover; and the cover of Lesbian Pulp Fiction was deemed a bit too racy. ("Can't we have Hugh hold it so his hand is over the nipple?" "No.") So I had to come up with an imaginary book with the same... let's call it clout. I finally settled on Classic Lesbian Prison Stories. Because House wouldn't read just any old lesbian prison stories, you know. Well, okay, he might. But I liked the idea of an entire sub-genre that had been scoured for classic tales of girls gone bad. With a 1950s pulp cover. Possibly with bars and a cot... am I telling you too much? When the book was created, I saw that "Classic" was in a scalloped edge on top, as though it were the publishing line. Nevertheless, in my heart, it will always be the most important part of the title.​

אגב אני חדשה.. קוראים לי נופר, ואני רואה האוס מהעונה הנוכחת בערוץ 3.. אבל אני מורידה את העונה הראשונה באמיול, אבל ששש.. אל תגלו לאף אחד.. מקווה להשתלב..
