מישהו שרצה להדגים שהאכזבה מהסיום מגוחך, כתב כך: Disappointed with Lord of the Rings Seriously. This book left us with a load of unanswered questions and a cop-out ending. These are just a few of the tons of questions and inconsistencies: - Why could Tom Bombadil see Frodo when he was wearing the ring? - Who where the ghosts in Barrow-downs? And why did they capture the hobbits? - Why did Gandalf wear one of the three rings? He was not an elf. - Who where the nine ringwraiths? How did Sauron convince them to take the rings? - What was the purpose of the statues guarding the borders of Gondor? - What was the power of the different rings? - How come the bearers of the nine rings turned to evil but not the bearers of the other ones? I know the elf rings were "hidden", but why didn't they hide the other rings as well? And if they could in fact hide the rings from Sauron then why not just hide the one ring as well? - Why didn't Gandalf just take the one ring, jump on an eagle and fly to Mount Doom right away? - How come no one found the sapling of the White Tree before Gandalf took Aragorn there? - Why didn't they just sail away with the ring right away? Tolkien clearly made things up as he went along. Lame! I want my book shelf back! התשובה של משתמש אחר הייתה מצוינת בעיניי: - Why could Tom Bombadil see Frodo when he was wearing the ring? Because it’s one of the rules - Who where the ghosts in Barrow-downs? And why did they capture the hobbits? It was an apparition of Sauron - Why did Gandalf wear one of the three rings? He was not an elf. Because it was one of the rules - Who where the nine ringwraiths? How did Sauron convince them to take the rings? Apparitions of Sauron that were convinced because of the rules - What was the purpose of the statues guarding the borders of Gondor? To keep Sauron out - What was the power of the different rings? To be special - How come the bearers of the nine rings turned to evil but not the bearers of the other ones? I know the elf rings were "hidden", but why didn't they hide the other rings as well? And if they could in fact hide the rings from Sauron then why not just hide the one ring as well? Because Men were a race easily deceived, the other races were protected by the rules and the rules dictated that the one ring could always be found by Sauron - Why didn't Gandalf just take the one ring, jump on an eagle and fly to Mount Doom right away? That would be againt the rules - How come no one found the sapling of the White Tree before Gandalf too Aragorn there? Because it’s one of the rules - Why didn't they just sail away with the ring right away? Because that would be against the rules
